Frontage Types - Dooryard

Dooryard

The facade is set back from the frontage line, with an elevated garden or
terrace between. This type can effectively buffer residential quarters from the
sidewalk, while removing the yard from public use. The terrace, when roofed, is
suitable for restaurants and cafes, as the eye level of the sitter is level with
that of passersby.
